Whether by car or on foot, see Elmhurst's modern architecture on this socially distanced self-guided outdoor tour inspired by the Wright Before the "Lloyd" exhibit (Sept. 10-Feb 14). Tour our surprisingly architecturally-rich city--the only one with houses by both Frank Lloyd Wright and Mies van der Rohe. Pre-recorded audio insights by architect Robert Bunda, provide historic context and fun facts for the one-mile route with 14 stops, including architectural gems by Wright, Mies, Walter Burley Griffin, R. Harold Zook, Dirk Lohan, and more. The web-based tour includes a map, 14 audio stops, and information about the architecture.
